Meet our Team

Rev. Hawks is a native of Ellerbe, N.C. where he graduated from Ellerbe High School. In high school, he answered God’s call to full-time Christian Ministry. Rev. Hawks and his wife, Gloria Robbins Hawks of Marston, N.C., have a daughter, Kimberly Britt, and a son, Chris Hawks, who is also a Baptist pastor. They have five grandchildren.
In October 1965, he began serving as a Pastor and has continued to serve churches across North Carolina ever since. Rapid growth in the Cabarrus Baptist Association region led the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina to see the need for a new church. In response, Crosspointe Baptist Church was planted in 2000.
Rev. Hawks graduated from Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute with an Associates Degree in Church Ministries. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree from Campbell University and attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C..

Amy Herbert is our Music Director and Pianist. She has a B.A. degree in piano performance from Southern Wesleyan University in Central, South Carolina. Amy has been playing the piano and leading the choir in church since she was in seventh grade. She has served in several churches throughout the Southeast. Her love and passion for the Lord is shown through her music.
Amy is married to Morris Herbert and together they have 4 sons, Cody, Josiah, Paxton, and John-David and one daughter, Jasmine. Amy enjoys spending time with her family, going to the theatre and teaching piano.

Elizabeth serves Crosspointe Baptist Church in many roles in addition to her Financial Administrator role. Elizabeth's ministry passion is for Sign Language Worship.
